Misano - World Championship leader Stefan Bradl was the fastest man on track in Italian Misano in free practice for the San Marino Grand Prix in Moto2. The Kalex-driver from Zahling relegated his strongest title contender Marc Marquez from Spain in 1: 38.461 minutes on Friday with more than four tenths of a second ahead of second place. In the overall standings, Marquez, who celebrated his fourth victory in Bradley's sixth place last Sunday in Indianapolis, was still 28 points behind Bradl (165: 193). Max Neukirchner (MZ / Stollberg) took 18th place.
In the 125cc category, Sandro Cortese (Berkheim) landed in ninth place five days after finishing third in Indy. The Aprilia driver, who finished fourth in the standings with 147 points, missed almost a second on the championship leader Nicolas Terol from Spain (Aprilia / 191 points).
